Ciru Wambura Kamwathi, is a Human Resource Generalist and has practiced for 13 years. She is currently supporting different HR departments in different corporates as an independent HR professional. She previously served as the HR manager at Java House.

She has a passion for people and believes in growing people from one stage of achievement to another. Her background in sociology gives her insight to the relationship between the corporate environment and individual wellbeing. She believes in helping individuals realize their full human potential and is committed to helping especially younger employees take full advantage of opportunities.

In her years of corporate experience, Ciru retains that the workplace in Kenya has a long way to go towards gender fairness especially in leadership roles. Whilst she affirms the growth of industries and the rise of women to corporate leadership, the gender disparities in high level management inspire her to change perceptions around women’s recruitment and retention through training and advisory services to corporates.

She is committed to having as many women and girls in competitive positions within their different fields of practice.

Ciru has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, a higher diploma in HR management and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) Degree in Strategic Management. She also recently acquired a leadership training from the Strathmore Business School as she gears herself to even better leadership.

She upholds and demands a high level of integrity from herself and people around her in all her circles.

She is a wife and a mother of 2 wonderful boys. She is the girl in the team.
